RE-PURPOSING PROJECT
The Re-Purposing Project was a part of my Minor in Writing gateway course. It required me to take a previous piece of writing and repurpose it for a new audience. I decided to repurpose my reflection about my internship. My experience with Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington was amazing and helped me narrow down what I am studying in college, and I want other students to have the opportunity to have a similar experience that further inspires their academic studies. I created a website called The Wolverine Internship Experience that provides students with the intention of helping students find and secure internships. The first part of the site is designed to educate students on the benefits of interning, where to look for internships, and how to excel in the application process. The second part of the site engages students by allowing them to see where their fellow classmates have held internships. Positions are searchable by payment type, location, and major. There is also the option to view all of the intern profiles at once. I believe I achieved my goal of providing students with a tool that will help them be successful both in school and beyond. Feel free to browse through artifacts from my writing process below, or head directly to the website.
