SWEETLAND MINOR IN WRITING BLOG POSTS
As a part of the Minor in Writing Gateway course, I was required to become a blogger for the Sweetland Minor in Writing Blog. Before this class I have only blogged for a Great Books course, and we used it more of a forum to share thoughts and quotes and it was assumed that people outside the class would not be interested in reading our posts. During the gateway course, however, I've learned to be a content creator and to add images, gifs, video, and other media to blog posts. My persona as a blogger has definitely changed, and writing for the Sweetland Minor in Writing blog has inspired me to create a blog of my own, which can be seen here. Below is a sample of blogs from my semester in the gateway course.
This post was drafted while working on my re-purposing project. It highlights how nervous I was to take on web-writing but how excited I was to try something new.
This post was inspired by my re-mediating project idea. Clearly I am more comfortable with web-writing at this point in the semester and am allowing myself to take bigger risks while tackling more creative projects.
This post is one of those "write about writing" meta blog experiences. One of my favorite parts about the Minor in Writing blog is that we get to write not only about the same topics, but also topics of our choosing (as long as they relate to writing). While reading my classmates' posts I discover new blogs, pick up resume tips, and simply learn more about their interests and inspirations.
