PUBLIC HEALTH WRITING
The journal below includes essays, letters to the editor, and narratives that I have drafted in my public health courses. The journal proceeds chronologically, with work from my first public health course, Public Health 200 in the beginning. This course was an intro into the field of public health and I wrote letters to the editor as well as analyzed how political different models of the health environment interact to form health outcomes. The second course, Public Health 300, had me analyzing health behavioral models and taking an introspective look at my own health through narratives and research papers. The last course, Public Health 350, focused on global health and allowed me to learn about how developing countries struggle with both infectious diseases as well as chronic conditions that previously were only seen in developed nations. I chose to include writing from each of these courses because each has challenged me to learn new concepts as well as write in a different style. I composed the following journal of all of my writing specifically for this e-portfolio. Enjoy!
